Welcome to Progres, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Seraing, Belgium, located at Rue de Plainevaux 100. This charming café is not just a place to grab your morning coffee; it's a vibrant community hub where friendships flourish and smiles are exchanged over home-brewed delights.

As you step inside Progres, you are immediately enveloped by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The rustic décor exudes a timeless charm, transporting you to a bygone era—it's as if the café has mastered the art of nostalgia, complete with its own unique "time machine" feel. The quaint setting merges seamlessly with the cheerful sounds of laughter and conversation, making it the perfect spot to connect with friends or unwind with a good book.

One of the standout features of Progres is its welcoming spirit, as expressed by its patrons. Noël Tacchini notes, "Lieu très convivial où quasiment tout le monde se connaît," reflecting the café's intimate nature where returning customers are greeted like family. Charlotte Vandeleene praises the "accueil chaleureux" and excellent service, making it a must-visit destination, especially with the sunny terrace that's perfect for enjoying a leisurely afternoon coffee. Imagining yourself savoring a rich, aromatic coffee while basking in the sun brings a certain joy that is unparalleled.

Customer Amador Vera Morales beautifully describes the café as "un endroit très rustique," which captures the essence of Progres beautifully. It's a space steeped in the stories and experiences of its regulars—a sanctuary where the genuine connection between the café and the community is palpable. Here, every cup served is infused with a sense of belonging.

The café's terrace offers the perfect sunny escape as Patrice Brose highlights the "terrasse plein sud" that beckons you to sit back and soak up the sun while enjoying your favorite drink. The atmosphere is complemented by the affable nature of the owner, as noted by Solon (No-Wheels), who confirms that you’re welcomed like an old friend the moment you walk through the door.

Whether you're in the mood for a relaxing morning with a pastry, catching up with friends in the afternoon sunshine, or simply soaking in the bucolic charm that embodies Progres, this café promises a delightful experience. Come for the coffee, stay for the community, and leave with cherished memories. A visit to Progres isn't just another café outing—it's a patch of home away from home.

Lieu très convivial où quasiment tout le monde se connaît, j'y suis allé avec ma femme et un couple d'ami qui sont un peu habitués de l'endroit, nous avons été très bien accueilli, des gens entiers et généreux.
